LAPFAG was born of necessity in response to the increasing use, in the public sector of PVCu window systems. Although the many benefits of the PVCu medium was beginning to be experienced and understood, manufacturing knowledge and experience was somewhat limited and largely concentrated in the private sector PVCu frame manufacture and specification is now well established in the public sector but there remain many difficulties in keeping abreast of ever changing technical and other considerations.

Over the years successive Governments have changed the way Local Government operates ranging from competitive tending to Best Value and various Partnership Arrangements. LAPFAG supports its Membership through the process of change and informs and advises Approved Suppliers of latest developments.
